Gemma teams up with Is It Art

Gemma International has signed an exclusive deal with Is It Art Ltd for distribution of its Greetings products to the Independent retail sector in the UK (excluding NI). The deal is effective from 1 April 2010. This partnership is designed to see Gemma's licensed and generic kids becoming more accessible to a broader base of independent retailers across Great Britain.  Read more

David Wesson has been made Chief Executive at Gemma International as of April 1st. Wesson, who joined Gemma as Chief Operating Officer 16 months ago was previously commercial director at the Celebrations retail chain.  Read more

Clinton profits up by 26 per cent

Clinton Cards has posted a 26 percent rise in first-half adjusted pretax profit, helped by higher sales across all product categories, and said it saw full-year pretax profit coming in ahead of market view. Read more

Images & Editions sold to Otter House

Stamford-based publisher, Images & Editions, has been sold to Otter House, having previously gone into administration. David Pike, joint MD of Otter House, said I&E's assets had been acquired for an undisclosed sum and the staff retained. Read more

New wholesaler opens up in West Midlands

New wholesale business, Midlands Card & Party has opened for business in the Blackheath/Halesowen area of the West Midlands. The new operation operated by Michael Howitt and Les Platt hopes to fill the gap left by the area's previous wholesale business, Jervis. Read more
