Card Connection named as sold card supplier to BP
Card Connection has been selected by BP as its sole greeting card supplier for its company owned forecourts.
The agreement will see the UK Greeting's-owned Card Connection's network of franchise owners supply and merchandise greeting cards to more than 370 BP stores across the UK.
Card Connection's Sales Director Andrew Cutler said: "As part of UK Greetings, Card Connection is in the perfect position to supply and merchandise BP's company owned network. Our team of 85 franchise owners will hand pick and deliver greeting cards from our range of 1,200 quality product designs and supply them to BP outlets throughout the UK. Our franchise owners then regularly visit stores to supply new product and merchandise displays ensuring they always look fresh and appealing to consumers."
Kevin Vaux, Group Finance Director at UK Greetings commented: “UK Greetings acquired Card Connection just over 2 years ago and in that time has worked together in a number of very important ways to enhance what was already a very strong brand in the forecourt and convenience sector.
"The demands of BP were for a style of greetings card that would complement the Simply Food outlets and which, on a relatively small display, would cater for all the consumers that shop in these BP outlets.
"BP’s award of this business to Card Connection is testament to the positive nature of the relationship between Card Connection and UK Greetings, the service that can be offered to a high profile national retailer as a result of this relationship, and the established professional network of Franchisees operating throughout both the UK and Ireland.“
As well as independent stores, Card Connection franchise owners supply other key national accounts in this way including Costcutter, Londis, Netto, Budgens, Spar and Haldanes.
