Barnardo's ramps up online greetings offer

Children's charity, Barnardo's, has ramped up its online offering of greetings cards, giftwrap and bags in advance of the key Christmas trading period.

The charity is targeting charitable consumers who would not normally consider buying from a charity shop with a greetings range published by Barnardo's own publishing arm.

The card division is run as a separate entity from the main charity with four publishing dates throughout the year covering birthday, occasions, sympathy, anniversary and Christmas with retail prices starting at 69p. Print is sourced externally, including from China.

"Our Christmas card designs offer special for everyone from traditional to religious, contemporary to cute. we also offer giftwrap, gift bags and gift tissue, which match the greeting cards.

"All of our cards are published by Barnardos to keep costs to a minimum so profits generated from the sale of our Christmas cards are maximised.

"All of our cards are designed to be mailed with a letter stamp, Royal mails lowest price stamp.

"As well as helping to raise vital money to fund the work of Barnardos, the sale and distribution of our Christmas cards help to promote and bring awareness to the work of the charity."
