Clintons help’s Britain to say ‘thank’s mum’

Clintons, the specialist retailer of cards, gifts and wrap in the UK has supported one of its biggest seasons with the launch of a multi-channel Mother's Day campaign which captures the sentiment around the occasion and helps Britain pay tribute to its mums.

The Mums’ Words of Wisdom campaign celebrates all the pearls of wisdom that mums pass down to their children over the years, and aims to inspire the nation to think of all those times Mum has known what to do or say.

Research by the card retailer has uncovered some of the gems that mothers pass down to their children, and highlighted them in a short film. TOWIE stars Jessica and mum Carol Wright, feature in a video collection of individuals sharing their mums’ most memorable pieces of advice. Some of the words of wisdom include, ‘Believe in yourself and others will too’, ‘Never go to bed on an argument’ and ‘As long as you tried your best nothing else matters’ in addition to other often heard phrases, ‘Laughter is the best medicine’,‘Time is the greatest gift, spend it wisely’ and ‘Actions speak louder than words’.

The video acts as a tribute to all those mums whose advice we hold most dear and encourages viewers to join the conversation online.  To this end, Clintons has used Twitter.com to deliver a dedicated hashtag campaign (#mumsWOW).  

The page has captured the public’s imagination, with an incentive to win one of three special Mother’s Day Tatty Teddy’s.  The social media site has been steadily attracting comments from twitter users, like ‘Bev_metallica’ who said of her mum: “she put up with the teenager I was, in order to meet the woman I'd become”.
