Saw this and thought of you

Day three of GCA campaign sees plenty more offers and cards sent

COMING up with people to send cards to for Thinking Of You Week hasn’t been hard for Greetings Today editor Tracey Bearton, as Day Three of the Greeting Card Association’s campaign gets underway.

“I’ve just dropped my youngest daughter off at university for the first time,” said Tracey who is pictured at her rather untidy desk writing the cards, “so the house is feeling very empty, and it’s a good excuse to say hello.
“And, as I was going through our card supplies here in the office, I found a lovely drawing of a badger which is perfect for a friend who loves the creatures – a real ‘saw this and thought of you’ moment which is exactly what the TOYW campaign is all about.
“Today I’ve written to Neve, the 13-year-old leukaemia patient who Country House Gift Co mentioned loves receiving cards.”
Retailers, publishers and the public are getting really involved in the second Thinking Of You Week, the GCA’s campaign to encourage people to create a wave of love, caring and happiness by sending a card a day for seven days – Monday to Sunday, September 21-28.
Harriet And Dee are among the retailers getting into the swing of things with a special TOYW window display at their Didsbury shop.
Carte Blanche have teamed up with Moonpig for competition to win an exclusive Tatty Teddy where people just have to tell them who they’re thinking of and why to enter.
They’re also inviting people to Tatty Teddy’s Social Party with the hashtag #TattyTeddyTrends this afternoon between 4pm-5pm.
Love Kates online store has seven Milk cards for only £10 as a TOYW offer, while Laura Sherratt Designs are giving away six free cards on all trade orders placed online this week
Royal Mail have launched a special postmark which is being stamped on everything going through the post – six million items a day – until Thursday.
If you’d like to send a card to Neve too, post it via Country House Gift Co, 17/19 Woodborough Road, Winscombe, Somerset, BS25 1AB, and if you’re running any special Thinking Of You Week events or promotions, email the details, with images if possible, to tracey@lemapublishing.co.uk and we’ll include it on our email newsflash and round-up.
