Week two opens tomorrow at London show for emerging talent

THE second week of the New Designers show opens in London tomorrow, Wednesday, July 4, featuring 1,500 emerging talents.

Hallmark have a stand at the show they have supported for 20 years as it does exactly what it says on the tin – allows them to discover new design talents, with more than 50 staff working within their studios who were found through the fair.
They’ve already picked their Week One winner, with Ailsa Morrant (pictured) from the Glasgow School Of Art (Silversmithing & Jewellery) set to join them for a placement in the Creative Studio shortly
Week Two runs at the Business Design Centre until Saturday, July 7, celebrating the best from this year’s graduating designers in furniture, product, industrial, interiors, graphic design and animation.
Tomorrow sees Week Two New Designers Awards preview with the winners announced at 6pm, and Hallmark are also in the middle of their annual competition with another placement as the prize.
This year it has been expanded to run for 20 working days with 20 celebratory themes, finishing on July 24, and each day Hallmark’s Instagram page is showing the theme of the day for people to design by drawing, photographing, stitching, or however they get creative, and entrants can win a month’s paid placement.
